Lady Indians win Area Championship; Jackson low medalist

The Lady Indians are the Area 2 Champions after storming The Landing Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee Thursday afternoon. For TFS, it marks the third consecutive Area Championship (aside from Covid-19 2020 season).

Maggie Jackson bested the entire field by six strokes, shooting a one-under 71 to earn her second career Area Championship. The Lady Indians outdistanced second-place Athens Academy by five strokes. Brinson Hall came in fifth overall with an 82, giving the team a two-score total of 153 and earning them a trip to the State Tournament.

Hannah Lundy rounded out the scoring with a 115, as she continues to show big improvement throughout the 2021 season.
