Indians fall in opening round of state tournament

 
 

The 2021 season has come to a close for the Indians, who traveled to #1 seed Wesleyan in the first round of the 1A Private state tournament. The Indians were held to just four hits in the 12-0 first game, then dropped the second game 16-3.

The first TFS run came on a Joel Miller RBI double in the third inning of the second game. Aiden Gragg and Trent Thomas took the losses on the mound for the Indians. Chathan Clouatre tallied two hits in his final games, while Tate Shaw and Frankey Moree had two hits apiece as well. Malique Charlton, Tyler Popham, Baylor Carnes and Miller all had a hit each. Thomas and Moree recorded an RBI apiece.

The Indians close the season with a 13-14 overall record, making the state playoffs for the first time in school history.
