Indians of the Week for week ending May 15

The Indians of the Week are chosen by coaches, and recognize student-athletes that play sports that are currently in season. This week's Indians of the Week (for the week of May 10-15) include Lucy Alexander and Grey Bourlet for high school. PAST INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Lucy Alexander - Track & Field

High School Girl

Junior Captain Lucy Alexander placed tenth at the GHSA State Track & Field Championships in the 3200m in a school-record time of 12:16.77, a 24-second personal record. She also had the fastest, PR split on the school record-setting 4x800m relay, which placed sixth while dropping 21 seconds from the previous season-best. Lucy has been in the program since sixth grade, is a  strong, empathetic leader, and is as comfortable behind the scenes as she is in front of everyone.

Senior Captain Grey Bourlet finished his seven-year TFS track & field career scoring 23 points to lead TFS to its first trophy-winning performance - the third place - at the pinnacle GHSA State Track & Field Championships held at McEachern high school. Grey was the pole vault and 110m hurdle runner up, placed third in the 300m hurdles, and helped the 4x4 relay team with the fastest split to a fifth place finish. Grey graduates with the #2 marks on the TFS Legacy List for the 110m hurdles, pole vault, and 300m hurdles, as well as the #4 1600m relay time. He also continued the vaulting/hurdling legacy well known at TFS while also continuing a GREAT tradition of success and competitive respect.
