Lady Indians runner-up at state tournament, Jackson finishes fourth

History continued to be made for the Tallulah Falls School girls golf team, as the Lady Indians finished the GHSA 1A Private State Championship with a runner-up finish, tying with Athens Academy.

The girls combined for a 299 total two-day score, shooting a 146 a day after a 153. Maggie Jackson closed her career with a 72, giving her a tournament total of 147, which had her in fourth place and just eight strokes shy of the tournament champion. Brinson Hall also polished off her career with a stellar performance, carding a 74 for a two-day total of 152. Hall finished eighth in the state. Sophomore Hannah Lundy came in 23rd with a total of 211.

Holy Innocents won the tournament with a 284 score. The Lady Indians were playing in a sixth straight state tournament (excluding the COVID riddled 2020 season), and the second-place finish marks the first time in program history doing so.
