MS B-Team earns big win over East Jackson, A-Team falls in straight sets

 
 

Playing at home on Wednesday, the Lady Indians MS volleyball teams took on East Jackson. The B-Team pulled out a straight-set 2-0 win, while the A-Team fell 0-2.

The B-Team took the opening set of its match in 25-16 fashion, and finished off the win with a 25-21 win. Ryleigh Wilson and LB Kafsky played very well. Wilson had five hits and several sets leading to points during the match. Kafsky had several vital passes that led to points. Sarah Morris also had a great performance, working a 13-point serving run in the first set to seal the victory. Isla Wagner had a six-point serve streak to help guide the Lady Indians to a win in the second set.

"We are proud of the performance the B-team had tonight," says coach Hannah Satterfield. "It was nice to witness the team effort, as they are beginning to see the bigger picture."

The A-team took a tough loss against East Jackson in straight sets, 19-25 and 21-25.

"All is not lost as we seek to rebound next Monday against Habersham," states coach Tim Corbett.

The A-Team now stands at 10-3 overall and 7-1 in conference play, as the girls saw their six match win streak come to an end. The B-Team improved to 3-3-3 overall and 3-2-3 in conference play.
