Indians of the Month: May 2022

Tallulah Falls School has named its Indians of the Month winners for May 2022. The winners are Macy Murdock and Sam Ketch for the high school. PAST INDIANS OF THE MONTH

Macy Murdock - Track & Field

HS Girl

Senior Berry College-bound captain Macy Murdock won both hurdle races at the Area 6 A-Private and anchored the 4x2 runner-up relay team and the victorious 4x4 relay. She then qualified all four events through the Section B meet to the state championship where she scored 13.75 points as the Class A - Private 300m hurdle runner up as well as fourth place in the 100m hurdles. Macy also anchored the 8th place 4x2 relay (school record in the prelims) and 7th place 4x4 relays. Though she has only hurdled two short seasons, her improvement has been inspiring! -coach Scott Neal

Sam Ketch - Track & Field

HS Boy

Sophomore Sam Ketch saved his best throw when the pressure was on. After getting the fourth and final spot at the Area 6 meet to advance to sectionals and then the eighth and last spot to advance as the #16/last seed for the state championships, Sam once again snuck into the finals as the ninth/final seed. He unleashed a foot and five inch PR heave of 45-7 on his final throw to move up to seventh place, scoring two points, and moving up to #3 Legacy List. That throw was also a near ten foot best from the ‘21 season! Sam's goal is to win state and to be both strong and a technician in his craft. -coach Scott Neal
