Middle school swim teams both finish 2nd at GIAAA MS State Championships

 
 

Tallulah Falls School Swimmers had a fantastic end to their season at the GIAA Middle School State Championship Invitational on Thursday. The boys and girls teams both placed 2nd out of 16 scoring teams.

"Every single TFS competitor swam to at least one personal record time in their individual events," says coach Rachel Butler.

Top-8 finishes in individual events  were made by Henry Dumas, Ida Patterson, Teagan Penland, Adelaide Tatum, & Veronica VerBerkmoes.

Dumas & Penland teamed up with Thatcher Tatum and Sam Belk to race to a 2nd-place relay finish in the 200 Medley Relay. Penland, Belk, and Dumas also swam to a 2nd-place finish in the 200 Freestyle Relay with Brody Irvin. 

Adelaide, Verberkmoes, and Patterson joined forces with Olivia Bonner to race to two 2nd-place relay finishes in the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 Freestyle Relay.
