BREAK INFORMATION

Tallulah Falls School schedules several breaks throughout the year associated with major U.S. holidays or to allow students time to break from their studies and experience other aspects of American culture.
The following breaks are as followed:

Fall Break (1 week) October 9-18 (Dorms open $900 fee)
Thanksgiving (1 week) November 20-29
Christmas (2 weeks) December 17 - January 3
Winter break (1 week) February 12-21 (Dorms open $900 fee)
Spring break (1 week) March 25 - April 4 (Dorm open $1,000 fee)
Summer break begins May 18 for Middle School, May 20 for 9-11, and May 21
Graduation (10 AM).

Parents are responsible for making arrangements for the breaks. There are several options for the
breaks.

Return home to spend time with family or have family come to visit here.
Stay with the family of another TFS student (arranged by student/parent).
Stay with a family member or adult authorized by parents
Travel with organizations specializing in educational trips for students.

**The dorms will be open for Fall, Winter and Spring break for a fee of $900. We must have
a minimum of 10 students (per dorm) sign up for this to be open. Tallulah Falls School will only release students to stay with adults who have been approved by the parents and by TFS. The school will provide shuttle service to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta airport for students traveling during these breaks. There is an additional fee for this transportation. Guidelines for airport transportation and flights can be found below.

Shuttle Schedule to Indian Trail Rideshare

For each school break, Tallulah Falls School offers a shuttle to and from the Indian Trail Rideshare parking lot at Exit 101 on I-85 just north of Atlanta.

Parents/guardians will be required to submit the name of the person picking up and dropping off their students at the shuttle. This designated person must be over the age of 21. Uber, Lyft, and other taxi service drivers cannot be the designated person to pick up or drop off students. Given the traffic situation in and around Atlanta, we recommend that your designated person arrive early and be waiting at Indian Trail when the shuttle arrives.

Picking up students at the beginning of a school break: Once the bus arrives at Indian Trail you will need to see the school representative that rode the bus, so your student can be signed out by the appropriate adult. Once the sheet is signed, your student is able to leave.

Dropping off students at the end of a school break: Again, we recommend arriving early, so your student is ready for their return to campus when the shuttle arrives. The bus will only wait 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time before returning to campus. If you miss the shuttle, the designated person will need to drive the student back to TFS.

Price and Policy: The cost for the shuttle service is $100. The amount is non-refundable and it includes a ride to and from campus. Once you have signed up for the Indian Trail shuttle your account will be billed for the service.

Times for pick up and drop off will be determined on a per break basis.

Flight Arrival and Departure Guidelines

As you prepare for the 2026-27 academic year, the following information should assist you in travel planning. For school breaks, the dorms will open/close as follows, and air travel should be booked by the following arrival/departure guidelines:

Tallulah Falls School will keep its dormitories open during the Fall Break and Winter Break for the 2026-27 academic year. Students wishing to remain in the dorms during these breaks will be allowed to do so for a fee of $900. Contingency on a mininum number of students.

At each school break, Tallulah Falls School offers school transportation to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for students who need to fly for the break. For families wishing to meet part way, we offer transportation to Indian Trail Ride Share. The ride share is located on I-85 Indian Trail/Lilburn exit 101.
For a student to be able to use the school transportation, their parent/guardian must provide the residential life office with the student’s flight information (dates/airline/flight numbers/departure/arrival time) through the ORAH App.
If your student is flying as an unaccompanied minor, please contact Mr. Benson/Ms. Audet with the information of the person who will be meeting your student at their destination. All unaccompanied minor fees must be pre-paid by the parent/guardian when booking the flight. Tallulah Falls School has a $50.00 fee for this service.
The cost for transportation to the airport is $120 roundtrip or $60 one way. The cost for Indian Trail Ride share is $100. This includes the ride back to campus.
1. Students arriving by 1 PM will depart on the 3 PM shuttle. If arriving domestic you will catch the TFS bus at Lower North 2 (LN2). If arriving internationally, you will catch the TFS bus at the far end of the International Lobby at door A3.
2. (For breaks only) Students arriving after 1 PM may catch the late shuttle which will depart the airport at 7:30 PM. These students will be responsible for dinner on their own at the airport as they will miss dinner on campus. If arriving Internationally, please plan for customs. This process may take 1-2 hours. Please plan accordingly.
3. Students who book a flight with an arrival time after 7 PM and require special transportation, will incur a higher transportation cost. This cost will be $200 for one student or $125 per student if 2 or more students are able to use the same special transportation.
Students are not permitted to use Uber, Lyft, or other taxi services to return to campus. They must use either school transportation or an approved adult.

Friday, October 9, 2026 (option 2 departure) please book flights after 1 PM. TFS shuttle will depart campus at 8 AM.
Friday, October 9, 2026: Dorms close at 12 PM
Sunday, October 18, 2026: Dorms open at 3 PM
Flights need to return by 1 PM on Sunday, October 18 to catch the 3 PM shuttle. There will be a late shuttle departing at 7:30 PM for late and delayed arrivals. If you are arriving internationally, please note that customs can take 1-2 hours - plan your arrival accordingly.

Thanksgiving Break

Friday, November 20, 2026: Dorms close at 1 PM. TFS shuttle will depart campus at 12 PM.
Sunday, November 29, 2026: Dorms open at 3 PM
Flights depart after 5 PM on Friday, November 20 and return by 1 PM on Sunday, November 29 to catch the 3 PM shuttle. There will be a late shuttle departing at 7:30 PM for late and delayed arrivals. If you are arriving internationally, please note that customs can take 1-2 hours - plan your arrival accordingly.

Christmas Break

Thursday, December 17, 2026: Dorms close 1 PM. TFS shuttle will depart campus at 12 PM.
Sunday, January 3, 2027: Dorms open at 3 PM
Flights depart after 5 PM on Thursday, December 17 and return by 1 PM on Sunday, January 3 to catch the 3 PM shuttle. There will be a late shuttle departing at 7:30 PM for late and delayed arrivals. If you are arriving internationally, please note that customs can take 1-2 hours - plan your arrival accordingly.

Winter Break

Friday, February 12, 2027: Dorms close at 1 PM. TFS shuttle will depart campus at 12 PM.
Sunday, February 21, 2027: Dorms open at 3 PM
Flights depart after 5 PM on Friday, February 12 and return by 1 PM on Sunday, February 21 to catch the 3 PM shuttle. There will be a late shuttle departing at 7:30 PM for late and delayed arrivals. If you are arriving internationally, please note that customs can take 1-2 hours, plan your arrival accordingly.

Spring Break

Wednesday, March 24, 2027 (option 1 departure) please book flights to depart after 9 PM. TFS shuttle will depart campus at 4 PM.
Thursday, March 25, 2027 (option 2 departure) please book flights after 1 PM. TFS shuttle will depart campus at 8 AM.
Thursday, March 25, 2027: Dorms close at 12 PM
Sunday, April 4, 2027: Dorms open at 3 PM
Flight should arrive on Sunday, April 4 by 1 PM to catch the 3 PM shuttle. There will be a late shuttle departing at 7:30 PM for late and delayed arrivals.

Summer Break

Tuesday, May 18, 2027 (Middle School).
Thursday, May 20, 2027 (9th-11th Grade)
Graduation May 21, 2027 10 AM
Flights depart after 5 PM on Thursday, May 20 All 9th-11th MUST depart campus.
Senior flights should depart after 5:30 PM on Friday, May 21, 2027

If you book a flight outside the dates listed above, the Special Airport Shuttle Fee is $200. If you need to book a flight at a different date/time, please contact Mr. Benson before purchasing a ticket to be sure that transportation is available on the date/time desired.
