Campus Re-Entry 2020-21

TFS has released its Campus Re-Entry Plan for 2020-21.

TFS continues to monitor and respond to this unprecedented public health situation following the guidelines from national, state and local government officials. The health and safety of our students, faculty and staff remain a top priority.

TFS President and Head of School Larry A. Peevy – Campus Update

Dear TFS Family,

We continue moving forward to meet the challenges of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as they relate to the Tallulah Falls School campus and our local and international families. We appreciate the continuing understanding and support of the TFS family as we assess the situation to make decisions that will ensure the safety of all our students, faculty and staff.

Tallulah Falls School will extend the suspension of all on-campus classes until the end of the spring semester. We will continue to use the online learning platform that began on March 18. While all of our teachers and administrators would prefer to hold classes in person, we feel these steps are necessary and are in the best interest of the entire TFS community. All of the school’s immediate efforts continue to be focused on supporting our students, faculty and staff.

We will still take our annual Spring Break vacation beginning on Friday, April 3 through Monday, April 13. Online classes will resume Tuesday, April 14.

Dormitories have now been closed and all boarding students have returned home or to another location. Dorm students will receive information from Mr. Franklin about times the dorms will be open for them to retrieve their belongings or make other arrangements.

Unfortunately, a traditional commencement ceremony will not be possible. TFS faculty, staff and administration recognize that graduation is a joyous time for our students and their families. The school is working to develop an alternative commencement plan to celebrate all of our deserving graduates impacted this spring. An update regarding a virtual commencement ceremony and final date for online classes will be communicated when we return from spring break.

In a time when daily change is becoming the norm, we will keep you updated on any further adjustments to our schedule. We thank all of our stakeholders as we work collaboratively to navigate through these difficult times in an effort to keep our TFS family safe.

Warmest regards,

Larry A. Peevy
President and Head of School
