Boarding Student Support
MEET OUR DIRECTOR

JON BENSON
Jon Benson wants TFS boarding students to have an amazing Tallulah Falls School experience and, for our international students, an amazing American experience. “We want our boarding students to experience the culture, the food, the state parks, the shopping, the national parks, the fair, and even the city. He is dedicated to the overall student experience at TFS.
Jon helps to create a home environment. The overall effect – when students come to the dorms, they are coming to a welcoming environment, coming to a place where they belong. They have pride in their space and in their community.
MEET OUR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

ALLIE AUDET
Allie Audet plays an integral role in the lives of TFS boarders, offering support and guidance with problem-solving, showing them how to access resources, and helping them to build overall life skills. She loves watching them grow and transform, gain independence, and step into leadership roles.
Allie loves what she does. For Allie, TFS is home. She loves working with kids, and her service dog, Mallory, helps out too. She brightens up students’ lives and has an overall calming effect on students and staff.
Committed to you
Our mission guides everything we do—academics, athletics, fine arts, clubs, and campus life. TFS students immerse themselves in a true college preparatory experience through a rigorous academic program, including Advanced Placement courses and dual enrollment opportunities in partnership with local colleges and universities, all taught right on our campus.
We are deeply committed to helping every student pursue higher education. Our experienced college counselors support students throughout the entire college application process, with personalized guidance that addresses the distinct needs of each individual—particularly our international students. At TFS, we help every student discover the path that best positions them for future success.
Learning center
The Learning Center is designed to support our students’ academic success. Students are invited to work with our learning center staff on a more individualized level, review concepts, or adjust how they study effectively.
Helping international students acclimate to their new academic environment is crucial, and we are here to support them. We provide them with valuable tools to build good study habits and develop confidence in managing their academic work.
“In the Learning Center, all accomplishments, both large and small, are worth recognition. Students ring the 'victory bell' when they share something positive to celebrate...and this looks different for each student, but any progress is worth celebrating in my eyes!”
-Haley Cantrell (Learning Center Coordinator)
PEER SUPPORT
Peer tutors are selected from the National Honor Society. The NHS students volunteer and use their time for service hours, creating a win-win for our students who need academic support, and our NHS students can offer it.
RESIDENTIAL STUDY LIFE
Our dorms hold a mandatory study time each evening, Sunday through Thursday. On Sunday evenings, boarding students love to visit our Study Cafe, where they can study together.
Study Cafe is from 8-9 on most school nights in the student center. Students can work together, and enjoy coffee, tea, and snacks.
TUTORIALS
Our teachers are available to students daily during morning and afternoon tutorials, as well as during office hours, throughout the school week. Tutorials and office hours give students 30 minutes before, during, and after school to receive the extra help they need from our supportive teachers.
“I always come to Ms. Harris to help me with math. I am taking college calculus, and she helps me. All the teachers are here for us. I always visit them before class, after school, or during office hours. They are so patient and help me to gain a better understanding.”
- Student Maria Valentina Camargo (Panama City, Panama)
