Tallulah Falls School’s Five-Day Boarding Program offers students the full benefits of a boarding school experience – academic focus, structure, and community – while allowing them to return home each weekend. This is ideal for families commuting to our North Georgia campus. Students live on campus from Sunday evening through Friday afternoon, fully immersed in academic and residential life, then return home each weekend to recharge with their families. This college-prep hybrid experience strikes the right balance between independence and connection, while mirroring college-level responsibilities and maintaining meaningful family support.

Our students attend study halls Sunday through Thursday evenings, offering peer tutoring, academic collaboration, and daily teacher tutorials that develop time management and responsibility.

Five-Day Boarding Program Overview

The Five-Day Boarding Program integrates students fully into the TFS culture while solving the logistical hurdles of the academic week.

Schedule: Residential immersion from Sunday evening through Friday afternoon.
Academic Advantage: Mandatory evening study halls, peer tutoring, and faculty access ensure academic rigor is prioritized over commuting fatigue.
Holistic Growth: Full participation in the Tallulah 12 character development program, House System, and Mid-Mester experiences.
Extracurriculars: Full access to athletics (75% participation rate) and arts, utilizing our state-of-the-art facilities without the pressure of a late-night drive home.

Whether identifying trees on campus trails, fishing and kayaking at a nearby lake, or exploring Costa Rica on our week-long Mid-Mester trip, experiential learning builds confidence alongside curiosity. These shared experiences shape values, strengthen skills, and prepare students, both academically and personally, for life beyond TFS.

Mid-Mester travel experiences take students to destinations such as Florida’s Space Coast, New York City, Boston, the Grand Circle, Germany, Costa Rica, Charleston, South Carolina, local colleges, and beyond, enriching learning through exploration and real-world connections.
