Choir

Choir is offered in two levels: one to accommodate freshmen along with students new to choir and one class for those more experienced. Ensembles work independently and in combination with each other, and the Middle School Choir, to present fall and spring concerts. Students at all levels of experience are encouraged to participate. Students develop their individual singing skillset and learn how to contribute as a member of large and small ensembles.The choirs are welcoming environments and provide many team building activities as well as opportunities for groups to go out into the community to share their work. Individuals are encouraged to audition for District Honors Choirs and All-State Choir.

Instrumental

Instrumental Music Classes are available to students of all skill levels. Students will study Music Theory and History as a group, and then work privately to build their abilities with their instrument of choice. With guidance, students will select pieces for performance to study and present. Students confident with their work may be asked to support school events by performing at athletic events, Evening of the Arts, chapel services, or other related gatherings. Possibilities exist with local performance groups and can be pursued and supported as desired.
