Canine ambassadors ease stress of finals at TFS

A trio of four-legged stress relievers visited the upper school with a goal to distract students during finals week.

A staff member and two volunteers from Rabun Paws 4 Life, a nonprofit animal shelter, accompanied three shelter dogs Casper, Cletus and Buffy to Tallulah Falls School for the special mission.

Additionally, National Honor Society students collected supplies and monetary donations for the shelter, according to TFS English teachers Kelli Bly and Terri Bogan who helped to coordinate the visit.

NHS students love to support Paws 4 Life as it offers such a great service to our local community, Bly said.

“The staff members are always so appreciative of our help and frequently say how impressed they are of our students, their friendliness and their willingness to serve,” Bly said. “This semester, NHS donated $300 and more than $200 worth of pet supplies, food and toys to Paws 4 Life.”
