Indians of the Week: January 29-February 3

TFS has named the Indians of the Week for the week of January 29-February 3. This week's selection are Iva Ristic and Neyo Bain for high school, and Sofia Alderfer and Lincoln Hicks for middle school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Iva Ristic - Soccer

My nominee is Iva Ristic. She has been working very hard this week to improve her game. She had a rough scrimmage but has diligently been working to improve her game, and asked if I would work with her personally so that she can get better. She has put forth the effort and has had a great attitude about it. -coach Erin Jimenez

Neyo Bain - Basketball

Neyo Bain played a big role in the region game versus Commerce last week. Bain scored 17 points and added 5 rebounds during the contest. -coach Cody Coleman

Sofia Alderfer - Basketball

Sophia has been such a tremendous help this year on the court. Not only is she coachable, but she has improved so much throughout this season. She works hard, has a great attitude, and does whatever she's asked without hesitation or complaint. I love her heart and am so glad she played basketball this year. -coach Jenny Long

Lincoln Hicks - Basketball

As the final week of the season concluded with the Tri-State playoffs, Lincoln Hicks put up big numbers to help lead the TFS boys to back-to-back Tri-State championships. Throughout 3 games in the playoffs, Lincoln averaged a double-double, as well as has made some key contributions in a come-from-behind win over Towns County in the championship game this past Saturday. -coach Nathan Stanley
