TFS coaches name Indians of the Week

Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected Indian Athletes of the Week for December 16-21.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL

Seventh-grader Chesney Tanksley of Mt. Airy was named an Indian of the Week by middle school girls basketball coach Sharae Long. “Chesney rose to every challenge as the team played an undefeated Towns County squad before the break,” Long said. “She was all over the court, offensively and defensively. Chesney had 11 points, multiple steals and pulled down several key rebounds as she led TFS to victory. She is quite a girl with a big love for the game. Chesney never gives up and is determined to push through adversity. Her work ethic is impeccable and she works daily to improve her game.”

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY

Sixth-grader Jack Thomson of Clarkesville was selected as an Indian of the Week by swim coach Rachel Nichols. “Jack is a first-year swimmer who demonstrates an exceptional work ethic and determination to improve,” Nichols said. “He earned a spot on the ‘A’ relay team as a first-year swimmer and continues to lower his time in his events. He had a three-second improvement in his 50 freestyle time at the Winter Snow meet on Dec. 14.”
