Middle school boys’ basketball team digs in to celebrate season

Members of the Tallulah Falls School middle school boys’ basketball team, coaches and family members gathered on Feb. 2 to celebrate the end of the 2019-20 season. Attendees enjoyed a meal with meat provided by the school’s barbecue club.

The “A” team finished with a 10-4 season record, including an appearance in the Tri-State Conference championship game, falling short this year to a veteran Towns County middle school team. The “B” team gained valuable experience playing a handful of competitive games and participating in dozens of practices preparing for more competition next season, according to coach Tom Tilley.

“The fun the boys had at the party is a direct reflection of the fun we had this season,” Tilley said. “The future is bright as the program will return potentially 17 student-athletes from this year’s teams.”
