Indians of the Week: November 7-12
TFS has named the Indian of the Week for the week of November 7-12. This week's selections are Jue Wang and Krystian Jankiewicz for high school, and Emily Shoemaker and Sebastian York for middle school. MORE INDIANS OF THE WEEK
jue wang - precision rifle
Jue Wang has worked hard to improve her athletic performance by focusing on the most minor details while she's shooting. She's always encouraging her teammates and willing to help others. With their returned support and encouragement, and for the first time in our school's history, she shot a personal best of 292 in our first match of the season to qualify as an individual for the State Championship in April. -coach Katie Keister
Krystian Jankiewicz - basketball
Krystian Jankiewicz stepped up and made critical plays during the win against Mt. Paran. Krystian's timely shots, rebounds, and assists helped propel TFS to our first victory of the regular season. -coach Cody Coleman
Emily Shoemaker - Swimming
Emily is one of our team leaders this year and works to set the expectations for our girls' team. Emily understands the importance of being intentional at practice & building community with her teammates. Emily also had a strong performance this past Saturday at the Hawaiian Luau invitational. She dropped 4 seconds in her 100-yard Freestyle and 3 seconds in her 50-yard Breastroke. -coach Rachel Nichols
Sebastian York - Swimming
Sebastian is new to the team and swimming this year but is using his determination and wants to improve to make great strides in the sport. Sebastian consistently seeks out feedback and implements that feedback in what he’s working on. Sebastian comes to optional practices in efforts to improve. Sebastian scored 10 points at this past weekend's meet while also dropping 4 seconds in his 50-yard freestyle. -coach Rachel Nichols
