Several athletes qualify for state at sectionals
Tallulah Falls sent several athletes to Barnesville on Saturday in the GHSA 1A DI Sectional B. The top eight performers in each events qualified for the GHSA State Championships, held next week. Here are the results for each TFS event.
BOYS
- Sam Ketch - 1st in Discus (Qualified for State)
- Ade Akisanya - 4th in Shot Put (Qualified for State)
- Nana Amankwah - 6th in Triple Jump (Qualified for State)
- Walker Bailey - 7th in 1600, 8th in 3200 (Qualified for State in both)
- 4x100 Relay - 8th (Qualified for State)
- 4x400 Relay - 8th (Qualified for State)
- Tyler Brown - 9th in 300 MH
- 4x800 Relay - 13th
GIRLS
- Julianne Shirley - 1st in 400, 2nd in High Jump, 4th in 200 (Qualified for State in all 3)
- 4x400 Relay - 1st (Qualified for State)
- Molly Mitchell - 4th in 400, 5th in 800 (Qualified for State in both)
- Jace Ibemere - 6th in Triple Jump (Qualified for State)
- 4x800 Relay - 8th (Qualified for State)
- Dani Prince - 10th in 300 MH
