Charlotte Kelso named TFS Director of Sports Medicine

 
 

Tallulah Falls School has named Charlotte Kelso its Director of Sports Medicine. Kelso is a Certified Athletic Trainer with decades of experience in both instruction and as an athletic trainer.

Kelso previously worked in Dekalb County Schools as an Instructor for Health & Physical Education from 2014-2021, and worked in Arlington County Schools (Virginia) from 1994-2014. She has an EdS degree from Argosy University in Instructional Leadership, an MA in Health Pysical Education and Special Education from Tennessee Tech University, and a BS in Physical Education and Sports Medicine from Appalachian State University. She's been a Head Athletic Trainer at several places, including at Morgan State University (MD) and Mount Olive College (NC).

“Charlotte is a proven professional with extensive and decorated experience at various levels in sports medicine, in teaching, and in coaching,” says Athletic Director Scott Neal. “She has the rare combination of insight, service, and life hacks that will provide professional medical assistance for our athletic program. Charlotte will help with athlete injury prevention, care, and rehabilitation as well as offer significant experience with nutrition, recovery, and performance. We welcome her to the TFS Tribe!”

Kelso has also coached in several sports and levels, including basketball and volleyball. She was a multi-sport athlete, playing softball as well as basketball and volleyball all at the collegiate level.

“I am excited about working for Tallulah Falls School in many ways, to help students and student athletes to be successful in their current position and the future,” says Kelso. “I am looking forward to being a part of a great school program academically and athletically. As a former 3-sport athlete and lifelong educator in physical activity, I am excited to share my knowledge and experiences with TFS. I take great pride in assisting students to stay active on Athletic teams and in the future in life. I love being involved with young students-athletes and aiding them to a productive athletic career here at TFS and beyond.”
