Next Level Indians: Fall Sports Athletes

 
 

Former Tallulah Falls School athletes continue to impress long after they finish at the prep level. This fall, several saw significant game action at the college level. FULL LIST OF NEXT LEVEL INDIANS

Max Farris ('21) - Truett McConnell University Soccer

Max Farris helped guide TMU to a 9-3-4 overall record in his second season at Truett since transferring from the United State Merchant Marine Academy. He logged 15 starts and scored four goals with three assists (11 points) while taking 38 shots (17 on goal). He played 917 total minutes. Against Columnia International University on October 14, Farris had two goals and an assist. He had 10 goals and eight assists as a sophomore in 2022, and five goals and four assists for the Merchant Marine Academy in 2021. That gives him a total of 19 goals and 15 assists across three seasons. 

Abby Carlan ('21) - Truett McConnell University Volleyball

Abby Carlan just completed her third season at TMU in volleyball. She recorded two digs in limited action. From 2021-23, she has two kills and three digs in 11 matches played.

Brinson Hall ('21) - Troy University Golf

Hall, in her third season at Troy, played in two tournaments this fall, totalling six rounds. Her average was 80.50, besting her college career score of 81.86. Her low round this season was a 77 while finishing 45th at the Jupiter (FL) Invitational in October.

Maggie Jackson ('21) - Wofford College Golf

Maggie Jackson's third season at Wofford is off to a nice start. She has competed in five tournaments so far, with a low score of 221 in back-to-back tournaments, including twice shooting a 71. One of those (Golfweek Red Sky Classic), she came in 17th out of 89 golfers. She's placed inside the top-50 in every match so far. She is averaging a 76.4 per round in 2023-24.

Sarah Jennings ('23) - Covenant College Volleyball

Sarah Jennings had a massive impact in her first season at Covenant College. She played in all 38 matches as Covenant had a historic season of going 35-3 and earning a national ranking and making the NCAA Tournament while advancing to the second round. Jennings was pivotal as the team won the CCS Championship, earning conference Freshman of the Week three times. She finished the season with a team-high in digs (497) and aces (68), adding 78 assists and two kills.

Honora Kahwach ('22) - Barry University Soccer

Honora Kahwach completed her second season at Barry University, helping it to a 6-7-3 season. As a defender, Kahwach started in 12 of 13 of her appearances. She scored a goal and had two assists, marking the first points of her collegiate career. In two seasons, she's played 2,019 minutes (starting 25 matches and playing in 29 total). 

Sean Lynes, Jr. ('22) - Converse College Soccer

Sean Lynes, Jr. didn't log any minutes on the varsity squad for Converse this season, though he is on the team. Converse went 12-4-4, making it to the Conference Championship match.

Evan Prince ('22) - U.S. Naval Academy XC

Evan Prince competed in his second season for Navy cross country. He ran in three meets as a freshman in 2022, and followed that with two meets in 2023. That includes a 32nd-place finish at the Navy Inv with a season-best 26:43. He was 12th at the LVC Last Chance Inv with a 26:56 time.

Kitty Rodenas ('23) - Calumet College of St. Joseph Volleyball

Kitty Rodenas did not appear this fall in a match during her freshman season at Calumet College.

Alba Romanos Gracia ('22) - Ventura College Volleyball

Alba Romanos Gracia has helped Ventura College to a fantastic 21-3 record heading into December's postseason. The sophomore outside hitter has 63 digs, 45 kills, nine aces, seven blocks, three assists, playing in 23 matches.

Cainan Yaskiewicz ('21) - Middle Georgia United FC Soccer

Cainan Yaskiewicz plays semi-pro soccer for Middle Georgia United FC as the primary goalkeeper. He has logged 18 appearances this fall.
