MS basketball drops pair at Stephens County

The MS Indians A- and B- teams traveled Thursday to Stephens County, and came away with a pair of losses.

The A-Team took a 44-17 loss, despite playing some solid defense. TFS trailed just 22-10 at the half before Stephens pulled away. Brantley Addison had seven points, while Ethan Phasavang had six points.

"The A-Team has been getting better each game," says coach Nathan Stanley. "We played well on the defensive end and it was a gutsy game. Brantley had a great game on both ends of the court, and Ethan continued to show his leadership and poise in tough situations."

The B-Team meanwhile fell 59-12, though it was marked improvement from the last meeting with Stephens. Hayes Usher had five points and controlled the point for the majority of the game. Noah Randall had four points, and Fenn NeSmith had two points while Peter Greiving had one.

The A-Team is now 2-3 overall, while the B-Team is 0-3 on the season.
