Rifle places third at CMP match

 
 

Tallulah Falls Precision Rifle had a standout performance at the Gary Anderson Invitational CMP Match in Anniston, AL. TFS shot a team score of 2312, placing fifth overall and third out of 16 teams in the 'Scholastic' category.

The 3x20 match was held in multiple locations - CMP South in Anniston, AL and CMP North in Camp Perry, OH. Each location had 80 lanes, and scores from the locations were consolidated digitally through the electronic targets. In the 'Precision' category, there were 23 top teams from clubs and scholastic schools.

Tallulah Falls was only surpassed by two podium teams from last year's GHSA State Championship. East Coweta (Class 7A) was the Bronze winner from last season, and finished first with a 2325. Camden County (also a 7A school) was the State Championship team at state last year, and finished second at the CMP match with a 2323.

Individually, Brianna Walter came in fifth with a 591 (45x), Marc Crotta was 18th (577 - 29x), Kylee Loudermilk 26th (574 - 26 x), Joseph McGahee 27th (574 - 25x), Chloe Erwin 28th (573 - 29x), Mitchell McGahee 65th (551 - 16x), and Ethan Simmons 67th (548 - 20x).
