Four TFS soccer players earn Preseason All-State status
Georgia High School Soccer has named its Preseason All-State teams for each classification as the 2024 season is underway.
Tallulah Falls had four players recognized as All-State selections. Austin Ball, a senior forward/midfielder who is committed to Belmont Abbey College, earns his second 1st Team All-State honor after being named by GACA following the 2023 season. Ball entered the season with all-time school records in goals (52), assists (39), and hat tricks (9).
Senior defensive specialist Jake Wehrstein also earned 1st Team All-State honors, and he also was named a 2nd Team All-State selection by GACA after the 2023 season. He is an anchor on the defensive side of the field for the Indians.
Junior goalkeeper Kelton Reynolds, who also was 2nd Team All-State by GACA last season, is now a 1st Team All-State pick for 2024. He owns the school record for career shutouts (17), saves (119), and the single-season marks for shutouts (13) and saves (77).
The Lady Indians had junior defender Josie Chesser earn Honorable Mention All-State recognition, and she also last season was a 2nd Team All-State pick by GACA. She, like Wehrstein, is an incredible defender who doesn't let much get by.
