MS baseball splits DH at Elbert County

 
 

The MS Indians went to Elberton on Friday evening and split a twin billing, losing the first 12-1 before winning the second 7-0.

In the opener, TFS got a couple of hits including a double by Woods Irvin, who had the lone RBI in the game, scoring Fenn NeSmith. Asa Popham took the loss after striking out four in 2.1 innings. Noah Randall went the final 3.2.

The second game was much more favorable to the Indians, as they took a 7-0 shutout over Elbert County. Irvin started and took the win, striking out five in three frames. Easton Pollock went two and struck out four. The bats got going, as Popham went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI, and scored three runs. Irvin, Garrett Dorsey, and David Borrow each had hits. 

TFS is 1-1 on the young season.
