Golf State Championship Results: Day One

Following the first of two days in the GHSA State Championships, Tallulah Falls - both boys and girls - are hanging around the middle of the pack in their respective tournaments.

The Lady Indians are currently in 5th place out of 11 teams, carding a 179 team score (top two golfers). Mallory Higgins had an 85, as she sits 4th at the moment. Madeline Martin is 17th with a 94. Raegan Duncan is 19th (100) and Lily Turpin 43rd (141). The girls are at Willow Lakes in Metter.

The Indians, playing in Statesboro at Georgia Southern, are in 8th place among 12 teams, 87-over par. The team's total score is 375, with Tate Turpin (87) leading TFS in 28th place. Will Greene (94) is 43rd, with Rylee Smith (95) just behind him in 44th. Jack Thomson (99) is 51st, Ryder Cantrell (101) is 55th, and Hunter Bell (103) is 58th.

The tournament continues on Tuesday, May 21.
