TFS coaches select Indians of the Week, Sept. 26-Oct. 1
Tallulah Falls School coaches have named their Indian Athletes of the Week for Sept. 26-Oct. 1.
MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY
Tyler Farmer, a sixth grader from Mt. Airy, was selected as an Indian of the Week by middle school cross country coach Scott Neal. “Tyler is an energetic and competitive harrier who ran his best race of the year (16:19) on the 2.2 mile Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School course to place second, his best finish of the year,” Neal said.
MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL
Seventh grader Bailey Aderholdt of Eastanollee was named an Indian of the Week by middle school volleyball coach Madison Miller. Coach “Bailey always brings a good energy to the court and helps her teammates to be just as excited as she is,” Miller said. “She had a very big game against Lumpkin County at the middle school area tournament with some big blocks and hits. I am extremely proud of her.”
VARSITY BOY
Junior Rylee Hunter of Cleveland was selected by varsity soccer coach Jonathan Roberts as a varsity Indian of the Week. “Rylee is part of a hard working and determined core of attackers when it comes to match-time,” Roberts said. “He is always a threat when handling the ball and creates many opportunities for our team to score. Rylee scored two in our last match: one in the first minute and then in the second-half to seal the victory for his team. He is a key element in a very successful group at TFS.”
VARSITY GIRL
Sophomore Eva Fang of the People’s Republic of China was named a varsity Indian of the Week by varsity cross country coach Scott Neal. “In her first year of cross country, Eva Fang ran the Athens Academy 5K course in a personal best 27:49,” Neal said. “She has improved much during the season by responding well to training runs and the faster intervals.”
