TFS visual arts teachers contribute to Circle for Children event

Tallulah Falls School upper school visual arts teachers Tina Tatum-Cheek and Georgann Lanich donated recently personal works of art to the Georgia Circle for Children for the organization’s annual auction fundraiser, "ARTitude."

This gala event is held in Atlanta in late March.

Tatum-Cheek donated a signed and numbered print, "Sunset" and Lanich provided an oil on canvas, "French Country Road."

The Circle for Children plays an important role in supporting Tallulah Falls School and students through their generosity, said President and Head of School Larry A. Peevy

Each year the Circle provides several scholarships to deserving seniors.

Tatum-Cheek was the recipient of a Circle scholarship as a 1975 TFS graduate and she draws great pleasure in giving back to this organization. Two other Circle scholarship recipients have also returned to TFS as staff – Sara Boyd Roberts and Irene Henry Gray, Tatum-Cheek said.

“We are grateful for our long-standing relationship with the Circle for Children,” Peevy said. “And we are proud of our teachers who make supporting this organization a priority. This is a wonderful way for our school and its legacy to be represented.”
