TFS middle school tennis team claims 2017 Tri-State Conference championship

The Tallulah Falls School middle school tennis team overcame an injury to their number one singles player and claimed the Tri-State Conference championship by defeating Rabun-Gap Nacoochee School 3-2 on Wednesday, April 19 at the TFS tennis complex. After watching Tri-State rival RGNS win decisively in a preliminary match versus Summit Charter School, TFS coach Lisa Wilcox knew her squad was in for a battle.

Eighth grader Baylee MacBeth of Clarkesville led the way for the Indians by winning at the No. 1 singles position by a score of 8-3. TFS eighth grader Hagan Eubank of Tallulah Falls School was victorious at the No. 2 singles position winning 8-2. The Indians closed out the match and claimed the championship banner by winning at the No. 2 doubles slot where teammates Rebekah Jennings and Gabe Keene combined for an 8-5 win.
