Faculty members at the Tallulah Falls School middle school named eight students as students of the month, four for August and four for September.

August

The fifth-grade student of the month for August is KC Respress of Cleveland.  “KC was chosen because he is always respectful and generous to his classmates and teachers,” said fifth-grade teacher Chrissy Van Hooser. “KC is always eager to help and exhibits many of the qualities of our Tallulah 12 character program.”

The sixth-grade student of the month for August is Molly Mitchell of Cornelia. “Molly was chosen as the sixth grader of the month for her exceptional work in her academic classes,” said sixth-grade teacher Annette Shirley. “She is a responsible student who leads by example by displaying a positive attitude and good work ethic.”

The seventh grader of the month for August is Benjamin Okoronkwo of Euless, Texas. “Benjamin is a new student to TFS, and he has quickly earned the reputation of being extremely kind and respectful to both his peers and his teachers,” said seventh-grade teacher Kim McClurg. He comes into the classroom every day with a sweet smile and a warm greeting, and leaves with a ‘thank you’ or ‘I enjoyed your class today.’ Benjamin helps make the middle school an even more special place.”

The eighth-grade student of the month for August is Caroline Ball of Tiger. ““Caroline has an extremely positive attitude and is both joyful and trustworthy,” said eighth-grade teacher Killeen Jensen. “She works very hard at her academics, shows great integrity and is both a team player and an excellent leader.”

The fifth-grade student of the month for September is Raegan Duncan of Martin.  “Raegan is very diligent with her classwork,” Chrissy Van Hooser said. “She is always respectful and kind to her classmates and teachers. Reagan is a leader in our fifth grade.”

The sixth-grade student of the month for September is Lawson Fulbright of Toccoa. “Lawson is a second-year student at TFS,” Shirley said. “He is very polite and has excellent manners. He is a hard worker and very conscientious about his classes.”

The seventh-grade student of the month for September is Cecily Tucker of Demorest. “Cecily consistently works hard in her academic studies to be the best she can be,” McClurg said. “She is also a loyal friend to many of her classmates. Cecily represents the seventh grade and Tallulah Falls School beautifully.”

Jensen also recognized the September eighth-grade student of the month – Ming Cai of Cleveland. “Ming is outgoing, respectful and humorous,” Jensen said. “He is also hard-working and very friendly.  He is an excellent team member.”
