Faculty members at the Tallulah Falls School middle school named four students as middle school students of the month for March.

The fifth-grade student of the month for March is Jacob Mitchell of Cornelia. “Jacob always listens in class and he does quality work,” said Chrissy Van Hooser, eighth-grade math and history teacher. “He smiles all the time and is a great friend to his classmates. We are all very proud of Jacob.”

The sixth-grade student of the month is Jackson Shadburn of Cornelia. “Jackson is a very outgoing, hardworking young man,” said Annette Shirley, sixth-grade math and history teacher. “He has a positive attitude and works well with others. Jackson is also well-mannered and has a wonderful sense of humor.”

The seventh-grader of the month is Daniel Shin of South Korea. “Daniel is a quiet leader who leads by example,”  said Kim McClurg, seventh-grade English teacher. “Although he spoke little English when he first arrived at TFS, he has consistently maintained high grades through dedication and hard work. He is respectful to his classmates and teachers  and his friendliness, positive attitude and perseverance make him admired among his peers.”

The eighth-grader of the month is Colton Augustine of Demorest. “Colton is enthusiastic and takes responsibility for everything he does,” said Killeen Jensen, eighth-grade history teacher at the school. “He communicates well with others, takes the initiative in all things, loves to learn, demonstrates curiosity and has a great sense of humor.”
