Faculty members at the Tallulah Falls School middle school named four students as students of the month for April.

Lizzy Wanner of Toccoa has been named the fifth-grade student of the month. “Lizzy is a very hard worker and is always smiling,” said Chrissy Van Hooser, fifth-grade math and history teacher. “She is also a good friend to her fellow students and a ray of sunshine in the fifth grade. We are very proud of Lizzy.”

The sixth-grade student of the month is Eleanor Weise of Alto. “Eleanor is a self-motivated young lady who demonstrates exceptional work ethic in all her academic classes,” said Annette Shirley, sixth-grade math and history teacher. “She is a hard-worker who leads by example by displaying a positive attitude and working well with others. Eleanor is well respected by her peers and teachers.”

The seventh-grade student of the month is Hannah Lundy of Clarkesville. “Hannah maintains excellent grades and her top-notch grade point average has solidified her spot as an Academic Ace for the entire school year,” said Kim McClurg, seventh-grade English teacher. “She is dependable, conscientious, honest and she is a student that is respected and admired by her peers. Hannah has emerged as a leader of her class and we look forward to seeing this leadership potential grow as she enters eighth grade.”

The eighth-grade student of the month for April is Gabe Keene of Demorest. “Gabe has a positive attitude and is kind and pleasant to others,” said Killeen Jensen, eighth-grade history teacher. “He is also responsible, helpful and works well with other team members on projects.
