TFS coaches name Indians of the Week

Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected their Indian athletes of the week for September 10-15.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL

Eighth-grader Kate Trotter of Demorest was named an Indian of the Week by cross country coach Scott Neal. “Kate has been running her best in the last two weeks,” said Neal. “She is leading the team in placing at each meet. She is setting personal records for different courses and overall just being a positive influence.”

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY

Eighth-grader Colton Hicks of Clarkesville was also selected as an Indian of the Week by cross country coach Scott Neal. “Colton placed seventh of 46 runners at our last meet,” said Neal. “He knocked off 2:17 while finishing in 12:43.84. Colton practices with purpose daily, demonstrates GREAT in his intentional interactions with others and leads the team daily.”

VARSITY GIRL

Sophomore Katy Corbett of Lakemont was named an Indian of the Week by volleyball coach Matt Heyl. “Katy has become a go-to person on offense and is continually moving higher in her hitting percentage,” said Heyl. “She is also one of the top passers and diggers on the team. She is a great motivator and is always encouraging the team.”

VARSITY BOY

Sophomore Kale Corbett of Lakemont was selected as an Indian of the Week by cross country coach Scott Neal.
"In his first season of cross country, Kale has demonstrated the GREAT  qualities we would like to see in all of our TFS athletes," Neal said. "A six-year cancer survivor, Kale's daily, purposeful actions endear him to his teammates while his tenacity in training is evident in his improvement and scoring status on the varsity team. In a recent time trial, he evenly split both halves of the run to the second, a pacing goal of the day and quite uncommon to do to that exactness."
