Middle school volleyball drops tough road match at Hart County

Tallulah Falls School middle school volleyball dropped a pair of road matches on Wednesday evening despite tough battles at Hart County.

The A-Team nearly pulled off an opening-set win, but fell 20-25.

"It was a tough loss again tonight," says coach Whittney LaHayne. "The girls started out a little slow, but picked up steam. In the second set, I am not sure what happened. We lost all steam."

The girls dropped the second set, and thus the match, 15-25.

"In the first set the girls were playing hard and really fighting for a win," adds LaHayne. "It was an all-around team effort. But in the second set, we quit calling the ball, we stopped moving and lost all drive. This was a tough loss because I know we are better than how we played tonight."

TFS came in third in the area, and Hart fourth.

The B-Team fell in their first set, 21-25, but were able to come back with a win in the second set 25-14.

"B-Team's serves were good," says LaHayne. "Karagan Branson led with her serves and passes in this game. Ryleigh Wilson hustled and got passes over and really moved well on the court. Coach Hannah Satterfield and I were proud of how well the B-Team came together for a win in the second half, but were also proud of the overall hustle we saw in them tonight."

The A-Team moves to 5-5 on the season, and the B-Team is now 3-5-2 overall after earning a tie on Wednesday. The teams return to action on Friday at home against Banks County.
