TFS golf led by Hall, Jackson as team Georgia beats Alabama

The TFS Lady Indians took part in the Battle of the Borders Tournament in Carrollton for an 18-hole event on Saturday. Team Georgia, which took the top seven scorers from the state, contained both Maggie Jackson and Brinson Hall.

Hall and Jackson both tied for fourth overall with a score of 79, helping guide Georgia to a win by over 70 strokes over Alabama. Each state took the top seven scores from their state; Georgia finished with a 533 while Alabama finished with a 603.

Jackson and Hall were selected to the All-Tournament Team. According to coach Allen Campbell, Lady Indians sophomore Hannah Lundy found a groove on the back nine and continues to show improvement.

TFS plays its next match on Monday at The Orchard against Towns County.
