Turpin & Bell lead TFS MS golf against Summit Charter

The TFS MS golf team hosted Summit Charter School at the Orchard Golf Course in Clarkesville on Wednesday afternoon. The team was led by seventh-graders Tate Turpin and Hunter Bell, who both shot 51 on 9 holes. However, the pair of 51's was not enough to secure the victory over a talented Summit Charter School team. Tallulah Falls had a team score of 156, while Summit had a total of 130, putting TFS in a 26 stroke deficit.

"Summit Charter School had the strongest team we've faced this season, as their number one player shot just 2-over par," says coach Hannah Satterfield. "Despite the loss, it was a great learning experience for all players. I am proud of the continued leadership from Tate Turpin and Hunter Bell, as they have been consistent low scorers for every match this season."

If the weather holds off, TFS will be back in action Thursday against Gainesville Middle School at Chattahoochee Golf Course.
