Sarah Jennings proved this week that she was ready in every way for the season to start.  She led her team in every major category. Sarah had the most kills, the most aces, the most digs, and the highest serve receive rating. Not only did the stats speak to her great week but her positive leadership as well. She was voted on as one of the team's captains and she did a great job of rallying the team whether things were good or bad. -coach Matt Heyl

Junior cross country harrier Zhigao Henrry Xiong averaged running more than 40 miles a week over the summer. He was one of a trio of TFS boys to do that, probably a first-ever in the history of the program. Henrry livens up practices with his wit, mannerisms, and desire to be part of a whole bigger than self. It takes dedication to put that many miles in, and Henrry certainly took the opportunities to run and run and run, all with the hope to have a better XC season in which he helps the team perform their best ever at state! -coach Scott Neal

8th Grader Kate Gary, made her presence known in many ways as the Middle School Volleyball team completed their first official week of practice. Kate, who transferred to TFS this year, has embraced her teammates and brings a fantastic attitude and volleyball skill set to the group. Through her personal choices and actions, she has demonstrated her care for others, and her entire team, both "A" and "B." Kate's enthusiasm and energy on the court is contagious and uplifting. Her impact on her teammates pushed both teams to complete the opening day jamboree with a 4-2 set record while making significant improvements each time they stepped on the floor. -coach Tim Corbett

Seventh grader Gavin Simmons attended summer cross country practices and ran additional miles to prepare for the 2021 middle school harrier season. Daily, Gavin comes to practice ready to give his best, to be a GREAT teammate, and to contribute to the positive team. atmosphere. He is focused, persistent, and full of fortitude! -coach Scott Neal
