TFS lauded for commitment to flag etiquette

A commitment to patriotism is illustrated in the everyday routine for Tallulah Falls School middle school students.

Proper U.S. flag etiquette is made a priority with the support of students and the leadership of teacher Travis Mullis. At the start and end of each school day, students raise and lower the flag located in front of the school.

Middle school Academic Dean David Chester, Jr. nominated the school for recognition by the Joseph Habersham Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution Georgia Society with the presentation of a certificate noting the school’s commitment to the flag.

The SAR presents awards each year to law enforcement officers, public safety officers and other citizens who exemplify the best civic traditions of the nation.
