Indians of the Month: December 2021

 
 

Tallulah Falls School has named its Indians of the Month winners for December 2021. The winners are Mei Hui De Velasco and Charlie Cody for the high school, and Isabella McClain and Charlie Harris for the middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE MONTH

Mei Hui De Velasco - Cheerleading

HS Girl

Mei Hui De Velasco learned a Christmas dance and taught all of the cheerleaders so that it could be performed at the game. She has also made tags, helped others learn cheers, and guided other cheerleaders through all three dances. She is always positive and ready to shine!!! -coach Kim Popham

Charlie Cody - Basketball

HS Boy

Charlie Cody had an excellent December for the Indians. In that time frame, Cody averaged 7.7 PPG including a career-high against Mt. Paran with 23. Additionally, Cody added 5 RPG and 1.2 SPG. -coach Cody Coleman

Isabella McClain - Swimming

MS Girl

Our girls' nominee is Isabella McClain. Isabella is new to the team this season and has added a fresh perspective to the group. She consistently comes to practice determined and ready to improve. Isabella seeks out additional feedback to implement in races and looks to reflect with her coaches following her races. Isabella maintains a positive attitude, no matter the outcomes of her performance. This determination was reflected in her December performances, setting personal records at both the Jingle Jam Invitational and the Winter Snow Invitational. Her consistent demeanor and determination set the standard for her teammates. -coach Rachel Nichols

Charlie Harris - Swimming

MS Boy

Our boys' nominee is Charlie Harris. Charlie's work ethic and determination set the standard for the TFS Middle School boys team. Charlie comes to all practices ready to improve by seeking feedback from his coaches, working to become a faster, more efficient swimmer. Charlie also attends optional practices in the mornings and attended practices over the Christmas break, working hard to improve. Charlie is also a team captain this season. He seeks to make genuine connections with all teammates, making sure that they are engaged in the sport and as members of the team. Charlie's demeanor in and out of the water is inspiring to all. -coach Rachel Nichols
