Varsity, JV Indians continue winning ways with road victories at Athens Academy

 
 

Tallulah Falls' varsity and JV basketball teams continued their win streaks with road wins Friday night at Athens Academy. The Indians' varsity made it 6 in a row, while the JV boys won their 8th straight.

The varsity team, ranked #6 in the state, pulled off a 65-59 win behind 4 players scoring in double figures. Anfernee Hanna dropped 19 points, while Milos Vico had 14, Gavin Page 12, Devonte Allen 11, and Lincoln Hall 2.

The win is the 6th in a row for the Indians, who are now 17-2 overall and 7-1 within Region 8-A Private. 

The JV team won its 8th consecutive game. Vlad Popescu led in scoring with 14 points, while Krystian Jankiewicz and Zakhar Valasiuk had 12 and 8, respectively. Zach Carringer and Wyatt Franks added 4 points apiece, while Nnamdi Enuzu and KC Respress both dropped in 3 points. Sam Ketch rounded out the scoring with 2 points.

The Indians are now 9-2 overall and a perfect 6-0 in region games.
