Morgan Ward competes in National Junior High Finals Rodeo

TFS rising eighth grader Morgan Ward recently qualified and competed at the National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Perry, GA in late June.

Only the top four in each event from each state or province qualified to go. Ward qualified in breakaway roping and pole bending. This marked the first time the event has ever been held in Perry.

Ward competed with junior high kids from around the world, as 43 states, five Canadian provinces, and the nations of Mexico and Australia were all represented.

Ward finished in the top-20 in breakaway roping in the first go round. She didn't catch her calf in the second attempt, and finished 58th overall. In pole bending, she had two great runs and ended up 59th overall.

"An amazing week for her and her horses," added Morgan's mother, Tennille. "She had the best time and it was so fun meeting kids from around the world."

The entire event was televised live all week.
