Lady Indians MS win Tri-State Championship; boys runner-up

 
 

The Lady Indians MS cross country team saved its best for last, earning a Tri-State Championship on Thursday at Rabun Gap. The Indians also had success, finishing as runner-up.

"Every returning runner went faster on the same course than they did last year," says coach Scott Neal.

Delaney Johnson was the top runner for the Lady Indians, placing second overall with a 12:59 time that was just 23 seconds behind the winner. Avery Keim was third with a 13:13. Five girls for TFS came inside the top 10. The boys were led by Gavin Dodd's sixth-place finish and time of 12:16, while four total boys placed in the top 10.
