Make it nine in a row for the MS Lady Indians

Arguably the greatest season for MS girls in school history continues with a ninth straight win, 6-0 over visiting Murphy (NC) on Tuesday evening.

LB Kafsky again had the hat trick with 4 total goals, and Adelaide Tatum and Amari Ernst added goals as well. The Lady Indians led 3-0 at the break, and doubled the lead with 3 second-half goals. Ernst assisted both Kafsky and Tatum for the first couple of goals. Tatum then assisted Kafsky, and the latter assisted on Ernst's goal. Kafsky added a PK, and Tatum assisted Kafsky again for the final tally.

"These girls collectively are playing some incredible soccer," says coach Laura Higbie. "We are moving the ball so well and every player is contributing towards quick transitions from defending to attacking. The entire team has stepped up to fill in for an injured starter and I could not be more proud."

Of those who stood out, GK Savana Owensby impressed greatly. She made some difficult stops and showed maturity in securing a clean sheet, finishing with 9 saves. The well-attended match featured the entire team receiving playing time.

TFS is 9-0 on the season.
