MS Lady Indians achieve perfection with win in finale

The MS Lady Indians achieved what very few ever get to - perfection. Tallulah Falls battled to a 1-0 road win at Rabun Gap on Wednesday evening to earn an 11th straight victory and finish out a dream season in style.

It was an intense seesaw defensive battle by both well-coached teams. Both teams fought for equal possession time throughout the duration of the match. The lone goal came midway through the first half by LB Kafsky, who's beautiful curved corner kick found the back of the net. It was all the stout Lady Indians defense would need. Both teams came out with determination in the second half, with neither team surrendering many opportunities.

"To say that I'm proud of this team is an understatement," says coach Laura Higbie. "They have been an absolute joy to have from beginning to end. They are a close-knit, supportive, mature, coachable, and wonderfully-funny group of young ladies. That combination, along with the incredible support of this group of parents and my amazing assistant coach Erin Ritchey was every coach's dream. What a season for TFS middle school girls soccer! Well done!

The Lady Indians finished 11-0, and outscored opponents in dominating fashion with a final goal differential of 53-6. The goal by Kafsky was her 30th of the season.
