JV Indians win low-scoring contest with Commerce

 
 

The JV Indians used great pitching and defense in a slim 2-0 win at Commerce on Thursday night, remaining unbeaten on the season.

TFS got a run in the fourth and another in the seventh for some added insurance. The game featured only 8 combined hits, and Tallulah Falls played a clean game with no errors and only 2 hits allowed.

Wyatt Dorsey, Wyatt Franks, and Justin Smith all had hits for the Indians, and Diego Gonzalez (5 innings) and Griffin Harkness (2) secured the combined shutout. Gonzalez recorded 9 strikeouts and Harkness had one. Dorsey and Jackson Carlan both drove in a run.

The Indians are now 8-0 on the season.
