JV Indians split double-header with West Oak

The JV Indians lost a 5-7 game to West Oak on Saturday before rebounding with a 13-1 blowout win.

Facing a 7-run deficit after the third, TFS rallied and nearly overcame it. Brantley Allen doubled, as did Gregory Mendez, and Merrick Carnes came up with a big single. It was all part of a 5-run fifth, though Tallulah Falls wouldn't scratch across another run. Mendez led with 2 hits, and the defense played solid.

Wyatt Dorsey had a monster second game, notching 4 hits and 3 doubles to lead the Indians to a huge win in game two.

Griffin Harkness pitched well, going 3 innings and allowing no runs while striking out a pair. TFS had 14 hits, with Dorsey, Dylan Brooks, Jackson Savage, and Andrew Skvarka all had multi-hit games.

The team is now 9-3 on the season.
