TFS secures second straight Sweet 16 with win over Pepperell
The Indians make it back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances after a 3-0 win on Wednesday afternoon over visiting Pepperell. TFS won at every line, though the final score goes officially 3-0.
TJ Cox won 6-0, 6-0 at 2-singles, while Tanner Davis (1S), William Xu (3S), Zach Carringer & Jake Owensby (1D), and Aiden VanOrman & Justin Graham (2D) all won, though the latter needed a super tiebreaker third set.
TFS secures a second straight and third overall Sweet 16 appearance, and are now 15-0 on the season, setting a new single-season wins record for the program. With singles wins, both Davis and Cox match 2013 alum Javier De Claire's single-season wins record. Carringer and Owensby secured their 10th win together, matching their total from last season, which is one shy of the doubles combo single-season win mark.
