Elite 8 Preview: Girls Tennis

The Lady Indians continued to walk off the court as winners, as the win streak has now hit 16 in a row. That's resulted in the first-ever Elite 8 run for girls or boys tennis.

TFS earned a 3-1 win over Galloway in a match where the doubles lines finished almost exactly in tandem to clinch the match. Top singles standout Ariel Kelsick was mid-match when the win was called. Jaeda-Lee Daniel-Joseph won easily at 2-singles, advancing to 15-0 (same record as Kelsick). The doubles line of Katarina Foskey & Azaria Junaid are now 9-0, and Cassidy Hayes & Landry Carnes are 7-2.

The Lady Indians will take on Bleckley County on the home courts at 3 PM on Monday, May 1. Though both teams are 1-seeds from their respective regions, Tallulah Falls won the universal coin flip by GHSA to host. Bleckley County is a storied program that has won the state championship in Class 2A in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Last season, they played in the quarterfinals and the semifinals the year prior. This team is accustomed to being this deep into the bracket.
