Tallulah Falls sweeps singles players, doubles teams of the year for region

All-Region tennis honors were announced on Monday to coaches in Region 8-A DI. Tallulah Falls swept the major awards by claiming both Singles Player of the Year awards along with Doubles Teams of the year for both boys and girls.

Tanner Davis grabbed Singles POY honors for the boys after the sophomore went 15-0 on the season at 1-singles. The sophomore 1-doubles unit of Jake Owensby & Zach Carringer was named Doubles Team of the Year after winning 10 matches. Sophomore TJ Cox (15-0) was named 1st Team All-Region.

For the girls, it was nearly identical. Junior Ariel Kelsick (15-0) claimed Singles Player of the Year, while the 1-doubles duo of junior Katarina Foskey and freshman Azaria Junaid won 9 matches to earn Doubles Team of the Year. Freshman 2-singles star Jaeda-Lee Daniel-Joseph (15-0) was named 1st Team All-Region.
