Anfernee Hanna signs LOI with Motlow State Community College

Anfernee Hanna, one of Tallulah Falls' top players in program history, is officially heading to the next level. The senior inked his Letter of Intent with Motlow State Community College in Tennessee. The Bucks reside in the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), competing on the Division I level.

"It feels amazing being able to continue playing sports at the next level and not finish it in high school," says Hanna. "It feels good to make my dream come true, because I have worked hard at it for a long time."

Hanna is fresh off a senior season in which he averaged a program-record 18.8 points per game, scoring 507 total points (2nd most in a single season). Hanna is one of only three TFS players in history to eclipse 1,000 points and 500 rebounds, as he finished with 1,204 points (3rd) and 620 rebounds (2nd). His 445 field goals made is tied for the most in TFS history, and his 65 all-time wins is the most. There's plenty more ahead for the 2nd Team All-State small forward.

"The fact that the school plans on helping me enhance my skill set and get me ready to play at a four-year school makes me feel like it was a perfect fit," adds Hanna. "My goals there are to become a better player and sign with a four-year school. The coach said that I will play the small forward position and he wants me to play exactly as I did at TFS."

Hanna has officially turned in his paperwork, and will be part of the Inaugural Next Level Signing Ceremony for Tallulah Falls School on May 18 at 4 PM.
