Lady Indians pick up area win at Athens Christian

The Lady Indians picked up a seventh straight win while beating Athens Christian Monday night on the road. The victory maintains the flawless record in area play at 9-0. In the best-of-five match, #6-ranked TFS won 25-11, 25-20, and 25-8.

"Serving was our masterpiece tonight," says coach Matt Heyl.

Of the team's 20 aces, Addy McCoy had 11 of those after just becoming the school's all-time leader in that category. She is closing in on the single-season mark as well.

"When we didn't get an ace, the serve still took ACS out of their offense, giving us a chance to run a quick and powerful offense," adds Heyl.

The Lady Indians are now 23-13 overall and 9-0 within Area 8-A.
